...And then the day came. We jumped into the car and started to one part of the Nilgiri Hills..
Coimbatore is surrounded by mountains in many sides. It is nice but, I never realized when we climbed the hill..
Well, the previous day we went to Marudhamalai Hill. We saw the temple and that's a whole new story for another blog..
As we climbed, trees and the road was the only thing to be seen. As we went higher, we were nearing Anaikati Village.
There, you can see Arsha Vidya Gurukulam.
Up that hill is Nilgiri Biosphere National Park. They said there is Elephant, Cheetah and Bear. But we met none. But we saw 1 peacock, 1 horse and many goats & cows.
A few pictures there-
And then we left Nilgiri Biosphere National Park.
We turned around and went to meet Swamiji and Ashram at Arsha Vidhya Gurukulam.. But sadly it was closed due to covid. So we did a U trun again and decided to go further and deeper into the jungle. As we drove a few KMs, we saw some police and some checkposts & then a board saying "Welcome to Kerala" !! We found out Kerala is just 25 KM from OMKAR..
We drove a bit into Silent Valley Kerala Annaikatti but then again came back to Coimbatore as we wanted this adventure for another day.
See you Next Trip..
I knew Kerala was near, but did not realise it was just 25kms!
Nice adventure!!
I like stories from your personal experience more than the fictional ones :)
